Handmade Sanibel Island Ceramic Shells
A little piece of the shore, handmade in clay. ๐
Each ceramic shell begins with a real seashell that I personally collected along the beaches of Sanibel Island, Florida. I press the natural shell directly into stoneware clay, capturing its unique shape, texture, and tiny details.
Every shell is individually formed, glazed, then finished with recycled Coke bottle glass that melts during firing to create a beautiful, glassy pool of color inside. Because each piece is made by hand and inspired by a different natural shell, no two are exactly alike.
Handmade in my White Bear Lake, Minnesota studio, these shells are perfect for holding jewelry and other tiny treasures, styling on a shelf or table, or simply bringing a little piece of the beach into your home.
Variations in shape, glaze, texture, and recycled glass are part of the handmade process and make each shell one of a kind. Due to cracked glaze design - these are not food safe.
